Description: The Embedded Firmware Engineer I is an entry level position in embedded firmware development. You will be involved in the firmware design process from concept to production. An ambitious and versatile individual is sought to provide embedded programming for advanced motion control and digital audio products. You will be responsible for writing software for device drivers, control algorithms, task manager, and networking protocols. You will also develop SW tools to automate the software build process and system design.

Experience Skills Required / Preferred:
Candidates should have a solid electronics background as well as strong interest in software development. Software experience should include embedded coding practices, task and data management and task scheduling, and version control. Knowledge of C and embedded C coding is essential. Experience with some of the following is preferred: I2C, SPI, RS232 communications drivers, boot of remote processors, low level networking protocol implementation, CVS, SVN. Knowledge of motion controls, or digital audio networking protocols and interfaces is beneficial, but not required.
Education Required / Preferred: BSEE/BSCS required. 0-3 years experience.
